Planet Smoothie Set to Open New Location in Southwest Ocala

Planet Smoothie is bringing its renowned smoothie offerings to southwest Ocala, with a new store currently under construction in the Market Street at Heath Brook shopping plaza.

Located at 4414 SW College Road, the upcoming Planet Smoothie will occupy Suite 320, nestled between the recently opened Great Greek Mediterranean Grill and Crumbl Cookies.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill launched its first Ocala location in Suite 316, taking over the space from Pie-O-Mine, which closed in October 2023.

On the other side, Crumbl Cookies opened its doors in May 2024 in Suite 325, offering a rotating menu of gourmet cookies.

As of August 2025, Planet Smoothie boasts approximately 169 locations nationwide, with new stores also under development in Gainesville and Saint Augustine.

While this marks the first Planet Smoothie in Ocala, the city already hosts other national smoothie franchises, including Smoothie King and Tropical Smoothie Café, which is working on its second location along SR 200.

The addition of Planet Smoothie to the Market Street at Heath Brook plaza reflects the area's ongoing commercial growth, providing residents with more dining and beverage options.
