Big Lots Returns to Ocala, Replacing Former Roses Discount Store

Big Lots has made a triumphant return to Ocala, reopening at 8445 SW State Road 200 in the Friendship Center shopping plaza.

 

This location was previously occupied by Roses Discount Store, which recently closed its doors.

 

The new store is adorned with signs proclaiming "now open" and "the comeback starts now," signaling a fresh start for the retailer in the area.

 

Strategically situated, the store is directly across from the city's first Sprouts Farmers Market and a newly opened Chipotle at Corta Commons, both of which have become popular destinations in recent months.

 

This reopening comes approximately seven months after Big Lots closed its three Ocala locations, including one just half a mile away at 8602 SW State Road 200.

 

The other two former locations were along Maricamp Road and East Silver Springs Boulevard.

 

The closure of Roses Discount Store leaves Ocala with one remaining location at 2640 NE 14th Street.
